Aerojet Rocketdyne Solar Farm required a unique project development structure in a challenging environment. Silicon Ranch worked closely with Aerojet Rocketdyne, Arkansas Electric, Ouachita Electric, Highland Industrial Park, and SAU Tech to address all stakeholder needs and deliver positive environmental, economic, and community benefits to South Arkansas.
The Aerojet Rocketdyne Solar Farm was the first utility-scale solar facility in the state of Arkansas.
Located in Camden, Arkansas, the project has won multiple state and national awards, but the greatest triumph for the project is its strategic role in Aerojet Rocketdyne’s decision to invest in the expansion of its local operations and to add more than 400 high-skilled jobs.
