Brownsville Solar Project Featured on Jackson ABC News

Silicon Ranch’s new Brownsville solar farm project was recently featured on Jackson, Tennessee’s WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News. A project two years in the making, this 3.9 megawatt, multi-million dollar solar farm is nearing completion. Silicon Ranch President and CEO, Matt Kisber, shared with WBBJ some of the features of the Brownsville project, highlighting Silicon Ranch’s economic investment into the Brownsville community, which will help recruit businesses. “So many businesses today want to be in communities that are embracing sustainability practices,” Kisber said.

Upon completion of the project, the power generated by Silicon Ranch will be sold to TVA and used by Brownsville-area homes and businesses. Kisber also gave mention to the active partnership with Brownsville Mayor Bill Rawls and the leadership of Brownsville Energy Authority. “Without their support, the partnership with TVA, the project would not have come to fruition,” said Kisber.
