Position: Project Coordinator

Location: Nashville, TN

Overview: The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the project management team with the planning and execution of a portfolio of medium-to- large scale PV solar projects executed concurrently of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator will work with a number of internal teams within Silicon Ranch including business development, project development, engineering, finance, accounting, legal, and field-level site managers.

The Project Coordinator will gain an understanding of the construction process, contract requirements, client relations, the financing process, and project deliverable requirements. In addition, the Project Coordinator with work with the project management team and project controls team to monitor performance metrics, project schedules, risk profiles, and cost performance of projects in accordance with company systems and practices.

Silicon Ranch is looking for an ambitious candidate with initiative and resilience. The goal of this position is to assist the project management team while progressing to the role of Associate Project Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support project management and field team daily tasks
  • Assist in smoothing the workflow of the team by proactively seeing the challenges and helping the team resolve
  • Be the team champion that sees when someone needs a hand

  • Help create and maintain a playbook for the team of processes and procedures
  • Drive the adoption of the playbook
  • Coordinate, schedule, attend and document project team meetings
  • Maintain a PR, PO, Invoice log for the department
  • Participate and support Project Managers with budget and cashflow reviews
  • Engage with other departments to get information
  • Update and Organize information in Mercatus, Box and Procore
  • Document Control and Auditing to ensure the all project files are standardized and being documented as required
  • Manage project close out for final review by Sr. Project Manager & VP, Projects
  • Evaluate current project management standards and practices and provide recommendations for improvement

Reporting: This position reports to a Director


Background and Education:

  • 3 years of experience in a project coordination or a related
  • Solar project experience is preferred, interest in solar projects a


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project
  • Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with multiple interests and backgrounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
