In this webinar, Mark Cayce, General Manager and CEO of Ouachita Electric, joined representatives from Silicon Ranch to detail how the team came together to overcome social, political, and economic barriers to “break the ceiling on solar” in the state of Arkansas. The webinar also explores the wide range of economic, environmental, and community benefits the project—now in its third year of operation—has yielded thus far, including the addition of more than 300 new employees for Aerojet Rocketdyne, many of whom moved into the area to become new co-op members. Furthermore, Cayce explains how the success of the project raised the bar on what Ouachita Electric can achieve in his rural community, including innovations in energy efficiency and rural broadband.
