RENEWABLE ENERGY GENERATION TO SUPPORT META’S OPERATIONS IN GEORGIA

The Lumpkin Solar Farm is part of a portfolio of projects that will provide solar power to the Walton Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) as part of the utility’s agreement to supply 100 percent renewable energy to Meta’s data center in Newton County, Georgia.

The 100 MWac Lumpkin Solar Farm was completed thanks to the help of more than 400 craftworkers, many of whom were recruited from the local labor pool.

Growing Demand for Clean, Renewable Power in Georgia

“Throughout our work with Walton EMC and Meta, we’ve been inspired by their spirit of collaboration and their commitment to doing things the right way. Walton EMC’s customer-centric approach has supported Meta’s meaningful investments in Georgia, and together they’ve produced a multiplier effect resulting in our own significant investments in communities across the state.”
