Georgia Power Flips the Switch on State’s Largest Solar Farm

Ervan Hancock, Georgia Power Renewable Implementation manager, recently helped flip the ceremonial switch to the largest solar farm in Georgia.

Hancock joined Georgia Public Service Commissioner Lauren “Bubba” McDonald and officials from Phoenix Solar and Silicon Ranch Corp. for the dedication of the 30-megawatt (MW) Social Circle Solar Farm. The Social Circle Solar Farm, located along a rural road near Social Circle, was developed as part of Georgia Power’s Large-Scale Solar Initiative. It comprises more than 130,000 solar modules covering more than 150 acres. The solar farm was developed by Silicon Ranch Corp. and designed by Phoenix Solar.
