Hazlehurst II (October Update)

Phase 2 of the Hazelhurst Solar Facility in Hazelhurst, Georgia is now nearing 90 percent completion in October 2016. Pile driving is complete, with more than 40,000 piles driven and a total of 500,000 plus modules installed. To date, there are still more than 275 workers on site.

Electrical connections are now possible, with inverter and fiber optic wiring and terminations in place. The Hazelhurst solar facility’s substation is 95 percent complete, including the installation of substation and system protection equipment.

Owned and operated by Silicon Ranch Corporation, the site will generate power at cost-competitive rates to Green Power EMC Renewable Energy for the next 30 years.
