Ray Bassett | September 11, 2020 – When Silicon Ranch – based in Nashville – built a solar farm here in Chattanooga eight years ago, it was the largest solar power facility in Tennessee.

The 65-acre farm helped to make the Volkswagen plant here the greenest car plant in the world at that time.

Now, Silicon Ranch is building a new complex in Jackson, Tennessee – to power Facebook’s data center in Gallatin – and this solar complex will be nearly ten times the size of the Chattanooga farm.
