Listen: Silicon Ranch Radio Ep. 005 – Local Power, Solar Power: Part 3

Silicon Ranch Radio explores the American solar energy frontier.

Our fifth episode features Mark Cayce, President and CEO of Ouachita Electric Cooperative, an electric cooperative headquartered in Camden, Arkansas. This episode wraps up a three-part series, “Local Power, Solar Power,” which takes a look at how local solar farming and strategic partnerships can light up your community. Mark brings decades of real-time, real-world experiences that all of us can learn from, so you won’t want to miss this episode.

The song featured within this episode is a cover of a tune from nearly 100 years ago called “Going down the Road Feelin’ Bad” as performed by The GreenHillsbillies, a Nashville-based bluegrass band comprised entirely of middle-age dads who like to pick and grin when they’re able to sneak away from their families long enough not to be noticed. Their music ranges from old-time fiddle tunes to Grateful Dead covers and the occasional 80s pop song (if the mood catches them right).
