NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 16, 2022) – Silicon Ranch Corporation announced today that it has completed its $775 million equity raise, following receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals. Originally announced last month, the round was led by Manulife Investment Management, on behalf of Manulife Infrastructure Fund II and John Hancock, with participation from existing shareholders including Shell, TD Greystone Infrastructure Fund (Global Master) L.P., and Mountain Group Partners. The platform investment now aligns Manulife Investment Management with one of the largest independent power producers in the U.S.
Founded in 2011, Silicon Ranch is a fully integrated provider of customized renewable energy, carbon, and battery storage solutions for a diverse set of partners across North America. The company’s portfolio includes more than four gigawatts (GW) of solar and battery storage systems across the U.S. and Canada that are contracted, under construction, or already in operation.
Silicon Ranch currently owns, operates, and maintains more than 150 solar generating facilities in 15 states from New York to California. The company has distinguished itself by successfully completing every project it has contracted since its inception and through its commitment to own and operate each project in its portfolio for the long term.
This transaction provides significant growth capital for Silicon Ranch to support the construction of well over two GW of new solar projects over the next two years. The raise will also serve to accelerate the company’s customer-led growth strategy by growing its team, developing new projects, entering new markets, and pursuing strategic acquisition opportunities.
Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Silicon Ranch on the capital raise.
