Longtime Industry Veteran Boris Schubert Joins Silicon Ranch

Schubert, former Shell Board representative, joins Silicon Ranch Executive Team

Nashville, Tenn., March 15, 2022 – Silicon Ranch Corporation today announced and welcomed longtime industry veteran Boris Schubert as its Chief Development Officer. Schubert brings decades of industry experience to his new role as he assumes a set of responsibilities critical to Silicon Ranch’s growth strategy as one of the largest independent power producers in the U.S.

Prior to joining Silicon Ranch, Schubert served as GM of Onshore Power Infrastructure for Shell and represented Shell on Silicon Ranch’s Board of Directors since its first investment in the Nashville-based independent power producer in 2018.

“As a Board member, Boris Schubert has played an important strategic advisory role during a period of rapid growth for our company, and we are thrilled to have him join our leadership team as we embark upon this next chapter in the Silicon Ranch story,” said Reagan Farr, Co-Founder and CEO of Silicon Ranch. “We are confident that his robust industry experience, combined with his leadership style and unique insights into what differentiates Silicon Ranch, will enable Boris to deliver tremendous value to our organization and to our stakeholders.”

As Chief Development Officer, Schubert is charged with leading the growth of Silicon Ranch’s project inventory across the U.S., advancing the company’s carbon solutions business—including its recent acquisition Clearloop—and leading strategic procurement efforts with the goal of further expanding Silicon Ranch’s impressive legacy of timely execution and positive community impact.

“Since day one of my tenure on the company’s Board, I have been enormously impressed by the talent at Silicon Ranch, not just in the leadership group, but throughout the organization, and I am honored to join the team,” said Schubert. “Over the course of my career, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles across the industry value chain around the globe, and Silicon Ranch always stood out for the total dedication to the communities they serve and – thanks to its differentiated business model – their truly long term perspective. I am excited to work with my new colleagues at Silicon Ranch and our partners to advance and accelerate the energy transition in the U.S.”

Schubert has played key roles in the energy transition for more than two decades, most recently as Shell’s GM of Onshore Power Infrastructure. Prior to joining Shell, he held leadership positions at ET Capital, saferay, Q CELLS, and Accenture. Schubert has also served on the Advisory Board for the Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) and the national board of SEIA.
